Lumicity is a renewable energy company set up by the Irish state electricity utility, through its clean energy investment arm ESB Novusmodus, and an environmental investment company, Ludgate.

We offer three products:

1. Rental income, thanks to small wind turbines.  We apply for planning and a grid connection on your behalf and then pay for the installation of a small wind turbine. 2. Rental income, thanks to solar PV.  As with wind, we apply for planning and a grid connection on your behalf and then pay for the installation of the solar PV system. 3. A reduction in your heating bill by up to 50%, thanks to biomass boilers.  We replace (or keep in parallel) your ageing boiler and replace it with a modern boiler powered by either wood chip or wood pellets.   Once it is running, you pay for the fuel – as you are currently doing – which results in heating bills that are up to 50% less than oil. If you have a lot of wood available for turning into wood chips you can run this for almost no cost. In addition, if you have an existing biomass boiler, built after 15 July 2009, we may be able to purchase the boiler from you, freeing up cash.  You would continue to operate the biomass heating system as normal.    Click here to find out more.
